Draft LAB is led by the content and design team of Lari Bishop and Alex Head.

Together, they leverage their network of professionals and decades of industry experience to help clients achieve their goals.

Lari Bishop has been an editor and writer for more than twenty-five years, and a book developer, ghostwriter, and author coach for more than fifteen years. She has written more than twenty books, including NYT, WSJ, and USA Today bestsellers. She regularly works on book proposals, articles, speeches, whitepapers, and more. Before launching Draft Lab, she worked as a developmental editor with John Wiley & Sons and as managing editor and then senior editor for Greenleaf Book Group, a hybrid publisher. She works in a wide variety of nonfiction genres, from business to personal development to public policy. She holds an economics degree from Bucknell University and a master’s degree in journalism from New York University.

Alex Head is the designer for Kirkus Reviews magazine. He has been a book designer for almost fifteen years, designing and composing many, many books. He loves working with authors to create great reading experiences—in print and on screen—and holds his projects to the highest standards. He helps manage the design and production process for our independent authors, advising them on printing and fulfillment options and pulling together the right team to produce the highest quality book. He holds a graphic design degree from St. Edward’s University.
